Continuing his series of monthly releases, Nelson Navarro has brought together the talents of high powered Sussex producers Alfie Frank, Ben Rolo & El. Train to reinterpret his single from last year, ‘Try’, featuring songstress Lisa Lo on vocals.
Last month Nelson gave to fans a remix of fan-favourite Picket Fence by Brighton jazzer GiwHa and continues the trend with a series of 3 gifts just in time for Christmas; Starting on the 4th December he’ll be releasing a new remix every Friday.
“When I grew up I was into so many different styles of music, especially dance music of all different genres. Something about hearing new versions of the same song really inspires me and I’ve been listening to all of these ‘Try’ remixes relentlessly since I got them!
“I’m Jamaican and a massive part of our music culture is the contest of who can interpret a musical idea the “best” with new versions of the same song popping up all the time by different MCs. Alfie, Ben and El. Train all smashed their versions and it gives me hope that when the clubs reopen there will still be the hunger for a party!” - Nelson Navarro
